A Nine-Day novena in honour of and in memory of the death Day of the Servant of God, Peter Cardinal Porekuu Dery is on the way in Tamale at his Musuim. This is participated by Priests, religious and the lay faithful. Four years ago, the Ghana Bishops conference approved for masses to be celebrated on the 7th of March each year in thanksgiving to God for the life and gift of the Servant of God and for a successful process of his beatification. The priests, religious and lay people in the Archdiocese of Tamale have organised a Nine-Day novena including adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praying for various intentions through his intercession and also praying for his beatification process to be a success. The Executive Secretary of the Cardinal Dery Foundation and the priest in charge of the Musuim, Rev. Fr. Dr. Sebastian Zaato, welcomed participants at the start of the novena and thanked them for their desire to participate. He also encouraged them to continue to make pilgrimages to his tomb and to his Musuim after the novena. The novena would be climax with Mass on the March 7, 2026.
