Very Rev Martin Michael Muosayir was borne on 8th September 1966 in Obuasi, Ghana, to Mr Stephano Muosayir and Mrs Celina Muosayir. Fr. Martin Michael Muosayir attended St Paul’s Primary in Nandom from 1976 to 1982. He had his secondary education in St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary from 1983 to 1988. He later attended Nandom Secondary School where he obtained his Advanced (“A”) Level Certificate. Fr. Martin Michael Muosayir had his seminary formation in St. Victor’s Major Seminary, Tamale, Ghana, affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon, from where he obtained his B.A in Religions and Philosophy. He was ordained priest by Most Rev. Philip Naameh in 1997 in Damongo. Very Rev Martin Michael Muosayir was Curate at St. Anne’s Cathedral Parish, Damongo, Ghana, from 1997-1999. He pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at the University of Cape Coast from 1997-1999 and taught within the same period Christian Religious Studies and English Language, in Damongo Secondary School. From 1999-2003 Fr Muosayir took his Licentiate Studies in Spirituality at the Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule, Muenster, Germany.
From 2000-2003 he offered part-time hospital chaplaincy services at the, Clemenshospital, Germany. He was briefly Curate at Martyrs of Uganda Parish, Bole, in 2003. Fr Muosayir was a Spiritual Director/Lecturer at St Victor’s Major Seminary, Tamale, from 2003 to 2009. He was Guest Lecturer at Pastoral and Social Institute, Wa, from 2007-2017. He worked as Curate at Good Shepherd Parish, Tuna, from 2010-2011.
From 2011-2020 he was Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish, Tinga, and also Parish Priest from 2020 – 2021 at Martyrs of Uganda Parish, Bole. From 2021 – to date he is the Parish Priest of St Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish, Canteen, Damongo. Very Rev Martin Muosayir from 2018-2021 was Dean of Bole Deanery. Until his appointment as the new Chairman of TEPPCON in November 2021, he is the Vicar General of the Diocese of Damongo.
