A dialogue among major political parties in Ghana and the citizens was organized by TEPPCON on 19th November, 2024 at the Catholic Guest House Conference Hall Tamale.
Among those who attended were the Bishop of Damongo Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Paul Yelezuome Angkyier, the Bishop of Yendi Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Yitiereh, the Chairman of TEPPCON, leadership of the Muslim religion in Tamale, Priests, various groups of the Catholics church, professors and lecturers of University for Development Studies and Tamale Technical University, among others. Unfortunately, none of the political parties invited were represented.
However, discussions on dialogue points prepared by the Catholic church in Northern Ghana based on the principles of the Catholic church was discussed among those present. The Catholic church in Tamale communicated to flagbearers on , expecting a response and commitment to happenings in the education sector, operationalizing the decentralization system to increase citizen participation in development decision making, act to ensure environmental restoration and sustainability, reinforce the legal and policy framework, and to implement recommendations made by the 2011 constitution Review Commission.
