The Catholic Bishop of Wa Diocese, Most Rev. Richard Kuuia Baawobr, M.Afr, on the 11th May, 2020, presented several PPEs and basic items to the Wa Catholic Diocesan Health Directorate and health facilities. The PPEs and basic items donated is worth about Ghc 87,518.00.

The Bishop made the presentation to the Executive Secretary of the Catholic Diocesan Health Services, Rev. Sr. Juliana Akayiti, SMI. According to Bishop Richard, he has been able to secure and present those items through external assistance and local contributions from Parishes and Institutions in his Diocese.

Some members from the Wa Catholic Diocesan Curia (Very Rev. Cornelius B. Naah, Vicar General, Very Rev. Benjamin Fiiritir, Chancellor, and Rev. Fr. Postino Dugyi, Financial Administrator), together with some staff members of the Wa Diocesan Health Directorate were present during the presentation.

The Bishop was very much grateful to all those who have made it possible for him to assist and support the personnel of the Diocesan Health services to render effective and efficient health care delivery to the people, especially in these trying times of Covid-19 pandemic. He also prayed for God to replenish what each of them has spent to enable the donation.
